As the principal park in Huddersfield, dating back to the Victorian Period with matching park structures and follies, Greenhead provides rich ground for the expansion of discourse into the nature of architectural heritage and conservation.

The Location plays host to various temporary structures and events, including sports, funfairs and other small kiosk structures. These two drawings depict a space which places these various elements at the forefront of the spatial experience of the park, challenging the monumentality of the prominently situated memorial.

A key strategy in this development is to create comparisons between the architectural forms within the park and the ephemeral spaces which inhabit them. By subverting the traditional categories identified in a conserved space and allowing the park's contemporary programmes to come to the forefront, the suggestions are of a dynamic palimpsest experience where inhabitants occupy both monumental and temporary spaces simultaneously.
Photogrammetry studies of these temporary spaces, recreated in distorted manners due to their constant usage, collapse the distance between architectural object and ideal through a removal of the critical distance and detail required by accurate documentation and allowing a more vital relationship between park and people.
